Excellent place to stay that’s near the airport. We got the Den Guestroom / Two Queen Beds and despite it being on the ground floor, it was pretty quiet. The facilities are spotless, the beds were comfy and our stay was uneventful. One highlight of the stay was the buffet breakfast, they offered freshly cooked rice along with miso soup! That’s probably the first time I’ve experienced this in the US. And the rice was excellent (soft & fluffy).

This is my third extended stay here, over the past 2 years. Location is amazingly convenient to John Wayne airport. Good central location for Orange County. I appreciate the 1 bedroom rooms with a beautiful view east towards foothills. The living room, kitchen and separate bedroom offer plenty of space. Spacious bathroom. Cleanliness and newness of room are very good. Service (front desk, housekeeping) is good to excellent, but inconsistent at times. Maintenance personnel excellent. Small snack store next to desk has good selection. Very nice, clean gym area. Pool area is basic. Needs work: Carpet in hallways need better attention to stains (all floors). Hallways appear dirty. Carpet transition between bedroom and bathroom is unravelled in all rooms I have stayed in. Kitchen needs more basics (can opener, better pots and pans, etc). Parking fees are high for ungated garage. Breakfast has extensive selection, but hot food is greasy imo. Food could be fresher (particularly yogurt, fruit and hardboiled eggs). It is a busy hotel and eating area gets crowded. The restaurant serves mostly premade dishes for evening. I rarely ate at hotel for either breakfast or dinner. Excellent restaurants nearby, along with grocery stores. Maybe add fresh omelettes for breakfast, and better selection for dinner.

My family and I have been staying at this hotel for the past 10 years, visiting at least once—and sometimes twice—each year. Over that time, the staff have become more than just hotel employees; they’ve become friends. When we first started coming, it was just my wife and me. Then we returned with our daughter, and now we are a family of four. Throughout every stage of our family’s journey, the hotel has consistently exceeded our expectations and made us feel right at home. A special thank you to Cindy, the hotel manager, Letty, the housekeeping manager, Tatiana, and the entire staff. Your kindness, professionalism, and genuine care have made every stay memorable. You always go above and beyond to ensure our family is comfortable, and we truly appreciate everything you do. Thank you for all the wonderful memories over the years. We look forward to many more visits and will definitely continue coming back!

I've never stayed at a Hyatt and we have lots of points with different hotel brands. This stay has far exceeded my expectations. We were on a road trip cross country and this has been a second home the last couple days. The breakfast was perfect and everyone left feeling satisfied and not sick from a sugar overdose. The hotel staff has cleaned our room meticulously and worked very hard to make it spotless. I wish I caught our house cleaners name, but she was very sweet and friendly and our room looked and felt amazing. One day, my four kids and I were waiting for our car to be serviced and we're just exhausted after a long and eventful week. We were greeted by a staff member named Kerry who not only greeted us warmly, but presented my children with gifts. After so many interactions with the hotel staff, my eight year old daughter told me, "Everyone is sooo nice over here!". I highly recommend Hyatt House for those looking to get away and receive warm welcomes. The place is spotless, children aren't seen as a nuisance, free breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, and every employee we have encountered were so friendly. We'll stay here again next time we want to come to the beach.
