Element Irvine presents a mixed experience, with some guests praising its modern design, cleanliness, and helpful staff. However, recent reviews highlight significant issues like inconsistent hot water and unpleasant odors, alongside unhelpful staff responses. Overall, the property suffers from reliability and customer service concerns.
The room and location was good. The manager, stephanie however had an attitude. Our room had no hot water in the sink in the bathroom and it was brought to the manager's attention. The very first day she had maintenance.Come up, they fixed the issue. However, later on that evening, same issue. No hot water bought up again to the front desk the next morning. Maintenance guy was sent up again. Took care of the issue. However, we came back to the room later that evening. And again, no hot water on the third day, we told the front desk again. The manager stephanie would not comp at least one night stay for the inconvenience of not having hot water for 3 straight days. She just stated that she would comp the parking, which people were parked there anyway with no permits. I've been a boy voyage Rewards member for a very long time, and this is the worst experience that i've had at a marriott.
Worst Element and Marriott property I've visited. The staff was unhappy and unwelcoming. The room had cheap, poorly maintained furniture, and the whole property had a bad vibe. Would not recommend.
My fiance and I stayed at this property for 4 nights while visiting So Cal. It was important to us to find a dog friendly hotel- and the staff at Element went above and beyond. Not only did they help me with a last minute booking, but we were greeted with such friendly faces. We went into the room with a surprise- a dog bed, water and food bowls, and a goody bag filled with treats, toys, and doggy bags. Out of all the hotels we've stayed at, this property was the most accommodating. The room was clean, quiet, spacious, and more than enough for the three of us. My fiance loved working out at their gym and then having fresh made eggs with his breakfast. Plenty of parking and conveniently located! Definitely will back soon.
Extremely disappointing experience, especially for a Marriott property. My room and all of my clothing were overwhelmed by strong odors from another guest cooking fish and broccoli. The smell was so pervasive that the room was uninhabitable. I had business meetings the next day and could not reasonably arrive smelling like food. What made the situation worse was how it was handled by staff. A front desk associate told the Marriott Elite desk that she had visited the room, which later proved to be untrue. She ultimately admitted she was not allowed to leave her post. I was then informed there were no alternative rooms available and no staff available to properly clean or remediate the issue. I had no choice but to leave the hotel. I did not request reimbursement for damaged clothing or transportation to another property—only accountability and reasonable service. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this hotel to business travelers or corporate visitors.
I had a wonderful stay at Element Irvine. The hotel is modern, clean, and beautifully designed, with rooms that feel spacious and comfortable. The beds are cozy, the showers are great, and I loved the natural light in the room. The staff was warm, professional, and always helpful whenever I needed anything. The complimentary breakfast was fresh and had plenty of options. The location is also perfect — quiet, safe, and close to everything. Overall, an excellent experience. I would definitely stay here again!
